M86 Security, a provider of real-time Web and email threat protection, on Monday announced a new slate of opportunities and additions for their Partner Focus channel program. With enhanced product offerings, including a proven secure web gateway appliance, which offers real-time threat monitoring and code analysis, M86 is giving its channel and new reseller partners opportunities to reach the enterprise market, which is increasingly challenged by phishing attacks, malware and other Web-based threats.
"Our portfolio is stronger in terms of addressing the constantly evolving IT security challenges," said John Notham, director of channel sales, Americas, M86 Security. "Last year's acquisitions -- integrated with M86's Web and email security products -- allow us to build more momentum in the market. This, along with the new channel program offering increased investment in marketing, sales and technical resources to better support partner demand generation, will enable our channel partners to win more deals and drive results for customers deploying our solutions."
M86 acquired Finjan and Avinti in 2009, bringing real-time code analysis, secure web gateway technology, and behavior-based malware detection solutions into a product portfolio that already included award-winning email and Web security solutions. At RSA, the company announced a cloud-based email security platform and was the first Web security vendor to release a hybrid solution of on-premises appliance with the M86 Secure Web Service Hybrid which features cloud-based scanning and centralized policy management.
Immediate Registration of New Deals, Plus Renewal Protection
With a single tier model, the M86 Partner Focus program provides participants with marketing, sales and technical support, tools and demand generation promotions. In addition, for resellers that attain certifications and competencies, the M86 Partner Focus program provides dedicated market development funds, helping channel partners generate further demand for M86 products and services.
"We believe that we offer our partners an opportunity to profitably grow their businesses while delivering unmatched real-time security solutions. Our channel program is designed to increase the effectiveness of our partners throughout all phases of the sales cycle. We strive to make it as easy as possible for our partners to generate leads, develop revenue streams, and ultimately sell and deliver security solutions that exceed their customer's expectations," said Notham.
The Partner Focus program also allows channel partners to immediately register and track deals; protects renewal business providing a significant pricing advantage over potential channel competitor bids at renewal time; and delivers an expanded training infrastructure that allows partners to become certified in M86 technologies. Furthermore, it offers a generous demo/evaluation program that provides not-for-resale copies of software and demo units of M86 security appliances. Finally, partners have access to a portal where they can find training, podcasts, and marketing materials to help them better reach and serve their customers.
