Cloud Expo 2011 New York $800 Savings here!
Money is a high-availability resource. Delays in paying and getting paid can affect business and personal lives. PayPal had this in mind when first creating a way to facilitate payments online, and continues to make money more easily accessible with its latest attempts to create a cash-free world on and offline. PayPal is the only global company that bridges financial services with the Internet. But what are the challenges to creating a truly virtual wallet that lives in the cloud and can be used to pay for both a consumer's online and offline purchases?
In his session at the 8th International Cloud Expo, Scott Guilfoyle, PayPal CTO, will explain how PayPal's platform, which now has millions of virtual wallets and registers as endpoints, was designed to be open, robust and adaptive as the need for digital money increases. Over the past 12 years, PayPal has built one of the largest and most reliable payment networks and extended it to leverage the talents of the best developers across the globe. All of this has been achieved while maintaining scalability for the 90 million global PayPal users, and extensibility to take advantage of the latest in IT innovations.
