"As more companies realize the benefits of cloud-based services, the demand for data centers that provide enhanced offerings and greater security has skyrocketed," noted Kip Turco, Windstream Hosted Solutions' senior vice president of data center operations. Windstream Hosted Solutions on Thursday has opened its newest data center in Little Rock. The center was designed to meet the growing demand for cloud-based and dedicated managed services, underscoring Windstream's commitment to its customer base nationwide.
The 30,000-square-foot data center is specifically built to meet the constantly evolving, stringent requirements of 24/7, "always on" companies. Designed with 2N power distribution and parallel uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), Windstream Hosted Solutions' new data center ensures companies that access to their servers, applications and data will be available at any hour.

Windstream has data centers located in or near major metropolitan areas from coast-to-coast, including Boston, Charlotte, Philadelphia, Phoenix and more.
To celebrate the formal opening of the new Windstream data center, Windstream will hold an invitation-only grand opening event on April 19. Windstream President and CEO Jeff Gardner, Arkansas Gov. Mike Beebe, and Little Rock Mayor Mark Stodola will be in attendance.
The new Windstream data center provides circuit redundancies that ensure no single point of failure. In addition, all core network gear within the data center is fully redundant as well. These features are consistent with Windstream's ability to provide a total range of services, ranging from Internet access to the secure protection and management of a company's infrastructure. They help ensure that Windstream Hosted Solutions' customers consistently remain online, a key requirement for virtually any company operating in today's economy.
