In the news release, Department of Homeland Security Proposes Expansion of Visitors Enrolled in US-VISIT, issued earlier today by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security over PR Newswire, we are advised by a representative of the organization that the first paragraph, beginning with the second sentence, should read, "A Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) was published today in the Federal Register. As a proposed rule, the new regulations are not effective immediately. A final rule will establish an effective date" rather than "A Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) will be published in the Federal Register on July 27, 2006, but will not go into effect immediately" as originally issued inadvertently.

Also, the fourth bulleted item should read, "Certain Canadian citizens entering the United States for specific business or employment reasons (i.e. Form I-94 holders). This excludes most Canadian citizens entering the United States for purposes of shopping, visiting friends and family, vacation or short business trips" rather than "Certain Canadian citizens entering the United States for specific business or employment reasons (excludes most Canadian citizens entering the United States for purposes of shopping, visiting friends and family, or vacation)" as originally issued inadvertently.
