SYS-CON Media Previews ISSJ - Information Storage & Security Journal - Today at Networld+Interop Expo in Las Vegas

ISSJ Is the First and Only Data Storage and Security Magazine on Newsstands

(Montvale, NJ, May 11, 2004) - SYS-CON Media, ), the world's leading i-technology magazine publisher, today unveiled the preview issue of its latest highly anticipated new title, ISSJ - Information Storage & Security Journal (www.issjournal.com) at the Network+Interop Conference & Expo in Las Vegas (www.interop.com/lasvegas2004/).

This year's N+I conference and expo, which is produced and presented by MediaLive International, focuses on six themes, two of which are Data Center and Storage, and Security.

Targeted at corporate IT professionals, i-technology managers and decision makers, ISSJ will be the first and only storage and security magazine on newsstands and in specialty bookstores such as Barnes & Noble and Borders.

"Data storage and security continue to be hot topics for enterprise IT buyers," said Lenny Heymann, General Manager of NetWorld+Interop. "The industry can always use more concentrated dialogue on data management issues, and we welcome the addition of Information Storage & Security Journal to the discussion. We also applaud the publication's choice to bundle storage and security issues. Today's IT buyer is taking a very pragmatic approach to networking purchasing decisions, and really scrutinizing the full range of implications those technologies might have for their company - so discussions about storage should absolutely include related security issues."

"There are some smaller circulation magazine titles in the market today that cover either the data center and storage-related issues or security-related subjects," said Fuat Kircaali, founder & CEO of SYS-CON Media. "However, the industry is missing one great i-technology magazine that focuses on both storage and security at the same time, two inseparable subjects, one cannot exist without the other."

"ISS Journal is aimed at information security professionals, CIOs, network administrators, MIS managers and i-technology decision-makers," said Jeremy Geelan, group publisher of SYS-CON Media. "Working at Fortune 2000 corporations that deploy or develop storage products, they will seek to analyze and address the major infosecurity issues of the day, from identity theft, cyber-terrorism, and network forensics, to perimeter defense, secure Web services, and encryption. This infosecurity content will be complemented with the information about storage that i-technology professionals need today, from SAN and NAS essentials to issues such as using iSCSI for backup and recovery."

The editorial direction of ISSJ will be shaped by an editorial advisory board comprising front-line executives whose companies are solving security and storage issues on a daily basis.

What is in ISSJ's Preview Issue?
The preview issue of ISSJ unveiled today in Las Vegas has a product spotlight column, "Integrating Access Control with Other Systems" written by Andrew Bulkley, senior director of product strategy for GE Security and a veteran of the data security industry. "Storage and Security Management for Logging and Archiving" feature was written by Diana Kelley, a security strategist for CA's eTrust brand of security management solutions. Data Centers Column features Eric Vishria's "The Dynamic Maginot Line" editorial. Eric is the director of product management for Opsware, Inc., a leading provider of IT automation and utility computing software. John Worrall's "Identity Theft: More Than a Stolen Wallet" story focuses on personal information security issues. John is the vice president of worldwide marketing at RSA Security. Mark Griffiths, vice president of authentication services for VeriSign explores network architecture in his "Toward Ubiquitous Strong Authentication" column. The DLM column in ISSJ's preview issue, "Applying Information Lifecycle Management Today" is written by Laura Shepard, product line manager for SGI InfiniteStorage. And finally, inside back cover editorial "Before Signing on the Dotted Line?" discusses management topics related to security evaluation and its author Mary Ann Davidson is chief security officer of Oracle.

We all love the many benefits of natural plant oils, used as a deap treatment before shampooing, at home or at the beach, but is there an all-in-one solution for everyday intensive nutrition and modern styling?I am passionate about the benefits of natural extracts with tried-and-tested results, which I have used to develop my own brand (lemon for its acid ph, wheat germ for its fortifying action…). I wanted a product which combined caring and styling effects, and which could be used after shampo...
