TruMark Financial Credit Union Recognized for Excellence in Network Security by Digital Defense

Digital Defense, Inc. (DDI), a leading provider of information security assessment services and Software as a Service (SaaS) security compliance solutions, today announced they had presented TruMark Financial Credit Union with awards for the Most Improved Network Security Program and Excellence in Network Security.

Matt Roedell, Vice President of Infrastructure and Information Security at TruMark Financial, accepted a trophy and a plaque from Mark Bell, Vice President of Operations at DDI, at their headquarters in Trevose, Pennsylvania commemorating his organization’s success. “Recognition of this nature is important to us for many reasons such as: 1) it provides our credit union with valuable feedback on the effectiveness of our organization’s information security program, and 2) it demonstrates our commitment to protecting the information assets of our members and our employees which is obviously very important to our team,” stated Mr. Roedell. “We appreciate DDI recognizing us in this manner. DDI’s services along with Frontline, their security information and assessment management platform, have proven extremely useful in helping us achieve our information security program goals and objectives. Utilizing one secure Web portal to run automated vulnerability scans, manage scan results and penetration test findings utilizing a common workflow management engine, and track our remediation progress via the same secure Web portal is extremely valuable to our information security team. It helps us increase the security of our network while at the same time reduce the operating expenses associated with maintaining our network security over time.”

DDI selects one client each year to receive the trophy and those that reach a particular milestone can also earn the Excellence in Network Security plaque. The winners of both awards are determined by measuring each client’s network security program against specific key criteria. “TruMark Financial made great strides in improving their network security program and we feel it is important to recognize and reward that effort,” explained Mr. Bell. “TruMark Financial provides proof that not only implementing but using the right tools on an ongoing basis will provide success in reaching the goals of network security and regulatory compliance.”

Matt Roedell accepted the award from DDI with members of the TruMark Financial Board of Directors and Supervisory Committee in attendance.

Digital Transformation is much more than a buzzword. The radical shift to digital mechanisms for almost every process is evident across all industries and verticals. This is often especially true in financial services, where the legacy environment is many times unable to keep up with the rapidly shifting demands of the consumer. IoT is rapidly becoming mainstream as more and more investments are made into the platforms and technology. As this movement continues to expand and gain momentum it creates a massive wall of noise that can be difficult to sift through. Unfortunately, this inevitably makes IoT less approachable for people to get started with and can hamper efforts to integrate this key technology into your own portfolio. There are so many connected products already in place today with many hundreds more on the h...
The standardization of container runtimes and images has sparked the creation of an almost overwhelming number of new open source projects that build on and otherwise work with these specifications. Of course, there's Kubernetes, which orchestrates and manages collections of containers. It was one of the first and best-known examples of projects that make containers truly useful for production use. However, more recently, the container ecosystem has truly exploded.
