Information Security Vendor RBTi Launches eStore

¶ RBTi, a leading vendor in IT Security, has announced the launch of their eStore -- allowing customers to purchase security solutions online

Information Technology Security vendor RBTi has announced the launch of their online store (www.rbtisecurity.com). Tapping into the vast demand for Information Security, RBTis eStore will provide services and solutions to enterprise, small/medium office and home office customers. With over 12,000 products, the online store will give valuable information about the security solutions and enable customers to purchase quickly and efficiently.

Headquartered in Atlanta, Ga, RBTi was founded in 2001 by former ISS employees as a way to provide IT Security services and solutions to a wide array of customers. RBTi has grown steadily over the past 7 years, working throughout the United States, gaining particular traction in the South East. With increased sales and a growing customer base, RBTi saw the need to implement an eStore to reach the wide audience needing instant security solutions for their networks.

Looking at the market, we saw the lack of any competitive landscape in terms of a quality eStore that was purely security, said eStore Director Karim Hijazi. We are security. It is what we do; and we are looking to provide easy access to viable security solutions to everyone who needs them.

Information Security is one of the fastest growing business sectors in the world. Rapidly increasing cyber crime worldwide, and government/industry compliance laws such as PCI and HIPAA have left businesses clamoring to secure their networks. The recent indictment of eleven cybercriminals on charges of stealing more than 40 million credit card numbers from unsecured wireless systems has launched an avalanche of increased interest in network security.

People want security and they want it now. People want to be able to purchase their security solutions quickly and easily, so it is becoming increasingly common for consumers to bypass the traditional sales cycles, said Tyler Fridley, Head of eStore Operations.

RBTi Security carries many top security vendors such as Check Point, Fortinet, Kaspersky and Netwitness and will carry these relationships over to their online store. RBTi expects the eStore to do business globally, supplementing existing inroads with businesses in England, France and Japan. A dedicated team of professionals will manage the eStore from RBTis new office location at 112 Krog Street.

In his session at 19th Cloud Expo, Mark Thiele, Chief Strategy Officer for Apcera, compared the Jevons Paradox to modern-day enterprise IT, examin...
