LONDON, March 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Softalk, a developer and supplier of award winning business software for the SME market, announced today the release of the Softalk Collaboration Suite, a complete messaging and collaboration solution for small to medium sized companies.
The suite includes updated versions of the company's two flagship products, WorkgroupMail and WorkgroupShare, in addition to Softalk Organizer, the company's newly announced web-based collaboration client. All three products are integrated through their shared common database platform.
The three components of the Softalk Collaboration Suite are designed to help small to medium sized companies collaborate more effectively. The WorkgroupShare collaboration server lets users of Microsoft Outlook share their folders, such as calendars, contacts, tasks and email, with their colleagues. WorkgroupMail is a mail server, which offers high performance, secure messaging for the SME business. It also includes new message archiving features for legal compliance. The Softalk Organizer provides an integrated browser-based solution for managing and organizing email messages, calendars, contacts and other essential information, all of which may be synchronized with Outlook or used as a standalone collaboration client.
Simon Bates, the company's joint CEO, said "This product is a great alternative to Exchange Server. It provides our customers with everything they need to communicate and collaborate effectively, both internally and externally, in one completely integrated solution."
More information about the Softalk Collaboration Suite, including 30-day trial software, is available from www.collaborationsuite.com. Prices start from EUR375 for a 5-user license.
Softalk was established by its directors, Simon Bates and Stuart Prestedge, in 1993 to provide collaboration software solutions to the mass market. Since the first release of its collaboration client, OfficeTalk, Softalk has grown organically to become one of the leading suppliers of messaging and collaboration products to the small to medium enterprise (SME).
